VERONICA NGO OF STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI PROVES HER PROWESS IN HER DIRECTORIAL FEATURE FILM DEBUT, TAM CAM: THE UNTOLD STORY, WHICH OPENS IN U.S. THEATERS SEPTEMBER 2017

Vietnamese actress Veronica Ngo, whose most recent Hollywood film projects include roles in Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Bright with Will Smith, brings an action-packed twist to a familiar Vietnamese tale in her directorial debut, Tam Cam: The Untold Story, set to open in select U.S. theaters later this month.

Adapted from a popular Vietnamese fairy tale, Tam Cam: The Untold Story, an action fantasy feature film that already topped Vietnam’s box office in 2016, makes its highly anticipated way to select U.S. theaters the end of this month. Tam Cam: The Untold Story marks Veronica Ngo’s directorial debut, and stars Huu Chau, Isaac, Jun Pham, Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc, Ha Vi, Son Thach, Thanh Loc and Ngoc Trai.

Vibrant period costumes, dynamic martial arts, and quality CGI combine seamlessly in this film to give audiences of all ages a cinematic experience that perfectly melds a traditional Vietnamese tale with a modern twist.

Known for starring roles in The Rebel (Dòng Máu Anh Hùng) with Johnny Tri Nguyen, and Lửa Phật with Dustin Nguyen, as well as setting to appear in Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Bright starring Will Smith, Ngo adds “director” to her already multi-hyphenated title of actress, producer, writer, with Tam Cam: The Untold Story.

“The ultimate dream of the entire team in making “Tam Cam: the Untold” is to bring stories that have Vietnamese origin to the big screen. This is not only the wish and ambition of mine, but also those of all involved. I am hoping that “Tam Cam: the Untold” will pave the way for more movies based on Vietnamese literature,” said Ngo.

The film will play at Regal Garden Grove Stadium 16 and San Jose AMC Eastridge 15 from September 29 through October 05, 2017. Visit www.TamCamMovie.com for additional details.
